ANDROID: How to Get the Premium Feed on Your Android Mobile Device
While the Genealogy Gems Podcast App is only for the free podcast, there are ways to get the Premium feed on your mobile device. We like the BeyondPod app for Andoid. The examples below are on a tablet. It may look slightly different depending on your device.
1. Go to your app store and download the BeyondPod app
2. Tap the menu icon (three stacked horizontal lines)
3. Tap “+ Add Feed”
4. Tap “Import Feed”
5. Tap “Enter feed address”
6. In the “Feed Address (URL)” field copy and paste this address to ensure it is exactly correct (the feed address is case sensitive):
https://lisalouisecooke.com/Premium_Feed/feed.xml
7. Tap “Advanced Settings” and enter your Genealogy Gems Premium Membership user name (not your email address, but rather the user name you received when you became a member) and your password (these are both case sensitive)
8. Tap “Save”
At the main screen tap the podcast. It’s possible that just one episode appears. To see the other episodes, tap “Open Feed” and then tap “See All”
“Thanks for all the podcasts – I learn something new every time!”

GEM: Google Search – Hiding from View
In my book The Genealogist’s Google Toolbox we cover all the ins and outs of searching for your family history with Google. And up to now search was really about what you put IN to Google. Well, recently Google announced a new addition to your search toolbox. And this little trick is not about what you put IN to your Google Search, but rather what you take OUT of it.
