Disclosure Statement

Lisa Louise Cooke Genealogy Gems Family History PodcastHi. Lisa Louise Cooke here. I’ve always believed in transparency on the web and so I am disclosing that I’ve included certain products, and links to those products, on this site. I will earn an affiliate commission for any purchases you make. My goal with the site is to help educate you on finding your family history, but please understand I am doing this as a for-profit business. We need to make money in order to keep bringing you the free Genealogy Gems podcast and blog posts.

The site has grown so large at this point that it is nearly impossible to go back through and list each and every program that I have an affiliate agreement with. This being the case, and just to be safe, you should always assume that any links leading you to products or services are affiliate links that I will receive compensation from. Having said that, there are millions of products and services on the web that relate to genealogy. I only promote those products or services (what I consider to be genealogy gems) that I have investigated and truly feel deliver value to you.  Examples would include the banners for Animoto, RootsMagic, and Backblaze.

GenealogyGems.com is also a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.

Please note that I have not been given any free products, services or anything else by these companies specifically in exchange for mentioning them on the site. I do receive free product and services occasionally so that I can try them out and come to my own conclusions. The only consideration is in the form of affiliate commissions.

This blog is a collaborative blog written by a group of individuals. The views and opinions expressed on this blog are purely the bloggers’ own. Any product claim, statistic, quote or other representation about a product or service should be verified with the manufacturer, provider or party in question. For questions about this blog, please contact Lisa Louise Cooke (genealogygemspodcast at gmail dot com).

Thanks, and enjoy the website!
