In a stack of items my aunt gave me, there was a Christmas poem my grandmother had written for her students one year. She had taught in several two-room schools in rural East Texas and received her degree after quite a few correspondence courses. I admired her so much and having the poem is—Priceless!!!

I recently tried to get some information from my grandmother’s high school but was told that info cannot be released without her consent (and she’s been deceased for many years!). Is this true? Do you know of a workaround for this because it just doesnt seem fair…
