About the Frames: The back of each frame is numbered and initialed. Sturdy mirror hanger is on the back. Look for the signature ESPY eye on each frame. Every frame is vintage wood. Many are "blanks" that came from the old Castner Co. warehouse in downtown Cincinnati. (circa the 1940's)
From the Artist, Jen Garrett of ESPY Frames: “As an antique dealer and picture framer for 30 years, I have been primarily supplying restaurant decor, but now I have found my passion in ESPY Frames! I search flea markets, antique shows and malls, scour yard sales and attics for treasures of all kinds. Then I use those finds to embellish old frames and create a treasure hunt like no other that encircles the photo cradles inside. Yes, it is about upcycling, repurposing, reusing vintage found and salvaged items, but each frame is also a distinctive work of art, created with care and loaded with valuable hard-to-find items. Each piece conveys a theme, and in some I strive to tell a story about a specific person (real or imagined).”
